The Asia One international aid convoy arrived on Tuesday morning at the Egyptian port of Arish in North Sinai governorate and began to unload its cargo.
According to Osama Sergany, head of the Egyptian Red Crescent Society, the convoy carried medicine, foodstuffs and toys, as well as four ambulances and 10 power generators for hospitals.
Asia One left India in early December, heading to Gaza to mark the second anniversary of Israel’s offensive on Gaza.
The convoy was refused to enter Pakistan, thus changed its route and travelled through Iran, Turkey and Syria before arriving at the city of Arish.
