Bombardier delivers first CRJ900 jet to China

CHINA’s first CRJ900 regional jet introduced by China Express Airlines successfully has reached Chongqing Jiangbei International Airport after a long-haul flight from Canada.
The CRJ900 regional jet first arrived in Tianjin Dongjiang Free Trade Port Zone and went through the custom formality on the end of last month, then at the Chongqing airport.
The newly introduced CRJ900 NextGen aircraft is produced by Canada’s Bombardier Aerospace, one of the world’s three major aircraft manufacturers. China Express Airlines has ordered six such new aircraft in all. This aircraft is one of the world’s most advanced regional jets. More than 300 CRJ900 NextGen aircrafts have been delivered to customers around the world. This is Bombardier’s first CRJ900 aircraft delivered to a Chinese customer.
The 90-seat aircraft has made its inaugural flight from Chongqing to Zhuhai with a stopover in Wuzhou. In addition, China Express will take delivery of its second CRJ900 aircraft in September. These new aircraft will be put into use in Wuzhou, Zhuhai, Beihai, Guilin, Xichang and other western regional markets in succession.
